Wine & Beer Festivals

Wine and beer festivals offer the perfect opportunity to celebrate your love of wine and beer. You can sample craft beers from local breweries, try new flavors, or just enjoy the atmosphere with friends. Many festivals also offer food trucks where you can enjoy delicious dishes paired with your favorite drinks.

76. Deland Craft Beer Festival

Held April 6 in Deland. This premier event in Deland began as a way to promote the then up and coming craft beer category. Fifteen years later, it’s still going strong. Hosted in downtown Deland, expect plenty of beer samples, a rare and vintage tent, and live music.

77. Kegs N Eggs

Held April 6 in Dade City. This 21-&-up festival combines a craft beer festival with an adult Easter egg hunt. The Easter eggs are filled with candy, prizes, and cash. Entry fee includes a t-shirt, commemorative glass, and free samples. Food trucks will be on site and live music adds to the party atmosphere.

78. Sandestin Wine Festival

Held April 11-14 in Miramar Beach. Four days of unique events offer amazing opportunities to discover new wines and dishes. Events range from dinners with celebrity chefs to wine tastings showcasing hundreds of wines. Wine novices will learn more about wines and have a chance to sample a variety of products while wine aficionados can meet winemakers and acquire unique selections.

79. St. George Island Brewfest

Held April 20 in St. George Island. If craft brews and a stunning location rock your world, you’ll want to be at this craft beer festival in north Florida. Vendors will be set up in a parking lot beside the historic lighthouse, right next to St. George Island’s amazing beach. It just doesn’t get any prettier than that!

Proceeds from this craft beer festival benefit the Franklin County Humane Society. In 2022, Brewfest donated $70,000 and are eager to surpass that figure in 2024.

80. South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival

Held April 25-28 in Miramar Beach. Four amazing days, dozens of celebrity winemakers, distillers, mixologists, and chefs. The festival includes samples, demonstrations, and entertainment. Proceeds  support Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation, benefiting children in need in Northwest Florida.

Other Festivals in Florida

Florida being Florida, there are many other festivals happening in April which don’t easily fall into any of the previous categories. When looking for a unique event in Florida, try one of these. From sand sculpting on Clearwater Beach to Perdido Key’s world famous mullet toss, these festivals provide unforgettable experiences.

81. Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival

Held March 29 – April 14 in Clearwater Beach. One of the best sand sculpting festivals in Florida, world-renowned sand artists converge on Clearwater Beach for 17 days of stunning artistry. Housed in a 21,000 square foot structure, the 2024 festival’s theme is “Sands of Time”.

82. Palm Harbor Fest

Held April 4-7 in Palm Harbor. Celebrating downtown Palm Harbor, this festival offers rides, food, and games for four days packed with family-friendly fun. Visit the local merchants while downtown and gather with friends and family for this carnival-like festival.

83. Tampa Bay Rodeo & Family Festival

Held April 12-13 in Dover. This annual event near Tampa is bigger and better than ever in 2023. Enjoy two days of rodeo fun on Friday and Saturday, including animal experiences and plenty of cowboys and cowgirls showing off their skills. 85. Worm Gruntin’ Festival

Held April 13 in Sopchoppy. This unique festival could just as easily be a heritage festival, too. Sopchoppy considers itself the “Worm Gruntin’ Capital of the World”, a place where generations of worm grunting have been fine-tuned into a skill akin to the Pied Piper’s. The festival includes contests, live music, and grub (pun intended). If you only visit a few Florida festivals in your life, make this one of them.

86. Venice Shark Tooth Festival

Held April 13-14 in Venice. Head over to the Shark Tooth Capital of the World for this unique Florida festival. Enjoy live music, great food, and lots of fun family-friendly activities. Enjoy the sights and sounds of historic downtown Venice then head to the beach for a little shark tooth hunting of your own.

87. KidsFest 2024

Held April 20 in Tallahassee. Calling all parents and guardians! This event in Tallahassee is exactly what it sounds like, a fun-packed day with activities just for kids. More than 45 local businesses and organizations gather, each offering a child-friendly activity. There are also other special exhibits such as a special characters and water activities.

The sponsors of KidsFest have thought of everything – they included a special Toddler Town for the very littles so they don’t have to compete with the big kids for fun things like bounce houses.

88. Flora-Bama Interstate Mullet Toss

Held April 26-28 in Perdido Key. If you’re even slightly interested in Florida festivals, chances are you’ve heard about the Mullet Toss. Participants toss dead mullets from Florida across the state line into Alabama to see who can throw a mullet the furthest. It’s not just a weekend of mullet tossing though. This event has grown into one of Florida’s biggest beach parties. Proceeds from each mullet tossed go to support local youth charities. And all those tossed mullets? They’re donated to local alligator farms and zoos.

89. Carrabelle Riverfront Festival

Held April 27 in Carrabelle. Held along Carrabelle’s historic waterfront, this event is family-friendly, dog-friendly, and free. Enjoy the beauty of Florida’s Forgotten Coast while browsing arts and crafts vendors, listening to live music, and enjoy fun activities.

90. The Fuzzy Pineapple Fairy Festival

Held April 27 in Tallahassee. If you’ve been looking for an opportunity to wear your unicorn costume, this is it. Fairy Fest encourages everyone to wear their favorite fairytale costumes. The dog and kid-friendly event features more than 20 fun activities, such as a balloon pit, giant Jenga, and dance workshops. There will also be a guitar raffle and fog dance party.
