10 Pride Events in Florida to Celebrate Pride Month
June 1st kicks off two important events in Florida – hurricane season and pride month. Pride events in Florida take the Sunshine State by storm, spreading cheer throughout the state. From parties to parades, 5K runs to film festivals, drink specials to special sales, hundreds of thousands of businesses and individuals show their support for our LGBTQIA+ communities.
The following Pride festivals in Florida are by no means the only celebrations in the state. In communities and businesses from the panhandle to the Keys, one day celebrations are taking place, too. If you can’t make it to one of these larger events, find a local one and make plans to attend the festivities!

Media reports have highlighted that “many” or “most” Pride events in Florida have been cancelled. This is not the case. Though some have cancelled, as you see, there are many Pride events in Florida in June. And others throughout the year. Outcoast lists all of them in their Complete Guide to Florida Pride.
1. Dunedin Pride Week (May 30-June 23)
Though Dunedin kicked off celebrations with a flag raising on May 31, Dunedin Pride events happen all month. Honu brings back their Ladies Luau, and there’s a Pride Golf Cart Parade on June 5th that you simply can’t miss. Other events include the West End Party at the Fenway Hotel, Blur Bingo and Brunch, All the Colors of the Rainbow Art Show, and Stirling Wine Sip with Pride.
2. Key West Pride (June 3-7)
Key West is known for it’s beautiful sunsets, laid back atmosphere, and propensity towards partying. So it’s only natural that Key West hosts one of the most inclusive and largest Pride festivals in Florida. Key West Pride feature five days of fun including a kick-off party, naked pool parties, theater, sunset cruises, a Glow Party, a street fair, and even a church service.
3. Pride Month in the Ancient City (June 4-30)
St. Augustine, the oldest continuously-inhabited European city in the United States, celebrates Pride all month in June. Festivities kick off with 2 Girls, 1 Market on June 4 and continues through June 30th with Pride Rollrsk8.
The big event is, of course, St. Augustine Pride Parade + Festival on June 13. The parade kicks off at House of Prism and ends at Eddie Vickers Park and the Gallimore Center in Lincolnville where the post-parade festival takes place.
4. Gay Days Orlando (June 4-7)
Gay Days Orlando happens at multiple venues throughout Orlando drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors to night clubs, attractions such as Universal and Disney, and other locations. There are pool parties, an Expo, and a multitude of other fun things to do.
The theme in 2026 is the 35th Birthday Celebration. Visitors receive gifts and free entry to all Gay Day events. Returning favorites like Drag Bingo, Porn Bingo, the Mr. GayDays Leather Competition, the Miss GayDays Pageant, and the legendary Puppy Mosh.
5. One Magical Weekend 2024 (June 4-8)
One Magical Weekend in Orlando is a weekend when the LGBTQ+ community gathers to enjoy multiple events at multiple locations. Events include Riptide at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, Wig Party at the Sheraton Orlando, and three daytime THERAPY pool parties.
A portion of proceeds from One Magical Weekend goes to the KindRED Pride Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to support the endeavors of like-minded charities for the education, promotion, and celebration of Diversity, Inclusion, Equality, Safe Expression, and Kindness and create a global movement for the first Saturday of June each year where all LGBT+ persons and allies wear a RED Shirt as a message of our “KindRED” spirit.
6. Girls in Wonderland (June 4-8)
Girls in Wonderland in Orlando brings together great events, rockin’ girl DJs, and fantastic soirees that draw women from around the world. All of the GIW events are 21+, including their exclusive resort. Events include dance parties, concerts, comedy shows, and pool parties. It promises to be a magical weekend in celebration of women.
7. Polk Pride 2026 (June 13-20)
Lakeland celebrates Pride with a week of celebrations around town organized. The Polk Pride festivities kick off at Union Hall on June 13. They continue the rest of the week with important and inclusive events such as Pride for Youth on June 17 and Pride in Faith on June 18. Cap off the week with Friday Night Pride, and Pride in the Park and Pride After Dark on Saturday, June 20.
8. PensaPride 2026: Summerween (June 13)
If you’re in the panhandle, head over to Pensacola for PensaPride 2026, an all-ages sober celebration of all things Pride. Live performances will spill across two stages while two indoor buildings will be filled with art, interactive exhibits, and community spaces. Over 100 vendors will be on-site to support the community and offer their services or products. There’s also a food court to keep yourself fueled up all day.
9. Stonewall Pride Parade & Street Festival (June 20)
Head to the city of Wilton Manors in South Florida (near Fort Lauderdale) for the Stonewall Pride Parade and Street Festival. Originally slated as a two-day festival, it turned to a single day festival in 2021 after COVID-19. Attracting 35,000+ spectators, the parade starts at 7 PM. Music and vendors throughout the festival will run all afternoon from 3 PM and into the night, ending at 11 PM.
10. 2026 Pride Weekend (June 26-28)
Florida’s largest Pride celebration happens in St. Petersburg. Though the majority of events occur in June, St. Pete Pride holds events year-round. Signature events in 2024 include:
- Stonewall Reception, June 11
- Pride Connect, June 17
- Pride Weekend, June 26-28

Such a thoughtful insight! Although Pride month has ended the fight for equity and equality never stops! It’s sad that festivals/ events have been cancelled but it’s just a rough patch for us all; hopefully, the 2022 editions will go ahead!
