Infographic: 8 Florida Firsts You Need to Know Now
Florida is known for many things, such as some of the best beaches in the world, lots of sunshine, and fun theme parks. The 45th state has also been a leader in some significant events in the history of the nation and the world, such as the development of sunscreen (no surprise as Florida is known as the sunshine state). Florida has also been first in some less significant events, such as the first “roll up” atm!

So many dates that Florida was first at. I have always had a fondness to history thank you for sharing some important history with me today. I am just wondering how many other places would have roller blade accessibility to the ATM
I had no idea that the first commercial flight originated in Florida. Also, never knew about the invention of the suncream. Very interesting information in your infographic.

Thanks for the info, today I learned something new about Florida. Before, I mostly thought about Florida in connection to huge alligators, scary! 😀

I’ve seen Miami areas in the TV shows, Burn Notice and Dexter, the place looks absolutely beautiful…..especially the beaches. Good to read some historic facts as well. 👍🏼👍🏼
It just as beautiful in person, plus a lot of traffic. Those scenes where there’s no car in site while the bad guy or good guy flies down one of the causeways in the middle of the day? Yeah, never happens, lol.
This is very cool. Florida is like a second home to me, but I didn’t know any of these facts.
Yes! There’s so much about Florida people don’t know.
This is quite informative. I’ve been to Florida just once and it was to Miami Beach. I hope to be able to see and experience
other parts. It’s amazing how much history and how different parts of the state are. Thanks for the history.
